Maytag front-load washer wax motor switch

Wax motor switches use 120VAC to melt wax inside that little brown box in the picture. Once melted the plunger, coming out of the right side of the unit, pushes on that mechanism which locks the door to the front load washing machine. Maytag model number MAH4000AWQ washing machine.

GE Microwave Door Switches

This is the plastic cage that holds the door switches from a GE microwave. There are typically three micro switches and when testing them with an OHM meter the top and bottom ones are normally closed while the middle one is normally open.

Samsung Front Loader Washer with Broken Shocks

Most front loader washers have two large support springs and four shock absorbers to keep them from banging during spin. This one had two of it’s shocks completely broken off! I managed to replace all four after quite a lot of effort in uncomfortable positions, lol.

Bad Gas Dryer Valve Solenoid

GE DBXR463GBOWW gas dryer tumbling but not heating. Typically this is due to a blown thermal fuse, but in this case it was one of the solenoids in the gas valve. I’ll replace the wearable parts like glides and pulley while I’m in there.

Sealed System Compromised
This little tap has been fastened to the sealed system on this Whirlpool french door refrigerator.
