Diagnosis:

Control panel was locked. If this happens again press the lower right button called Control Lock. Hold for three or more seconds, and then it unlocks the control panel and you can use the machine.

Repair:

Held the control lock button and after three seconds it unlock the controls. Here’s a video from LG that explains the control lock feature.
