I learned the trade of Appliance Repairman around 20 years ago when I took a break from my Telecommunications career and bought a mom and pop appliance sales and repair business in Bridgton Maine. Kathleen ran the sales floor and scheduled me as I went out on repairs. It was a fun and challenging time.
I later went back to the telecommunications industry which saw us move to several locations, including Las Vegas and Alaska! It wasn’t until an injury and COVID saw me loose a radio/telecom contract supporting the Marine Corps here in Yuma in early 2020 that I chose to hang out the old Star Appliance shingle again, 17 years after this picture was taken of my kids and Dex.
As Mike Rowe often says, it truly is good to have a trade to fall back on and I am very grateful to have appliance repair as mine.
